To the writings I have selected here about the meaning of Yom Kippur, my favorite Jewish holiday by far, I want to add a coda. But that will come later.

  1. If the rabbi is correct, and brokenness should be the prelude to wholeness, than good times are ahead for me. I found Wolpe warm, and from him the reality that we do not live up to our potential, the enormity of that, doesn’t feel harsh. Eye-opening.
