Thanks for this reminder. Dr Russell Blaylock, MD (neurosurgeon, retired) in his great book, “Natural Strategies for Cancer Patients” , says all the supplements he recommends many patients will take, but when it comes to changing their diet they are much more resistant. In the book, Dr Blaylock does NOT say never do chemo and/or radiation! On the contrary, curcumin + expen$ive chemo doxyrubicin (from bacteria)–or curcumin + expen$ive chemo paclitaxil (from Pac.NW Yew tree)–for example, are much, much more powerful than either curcumin or doxorubicin alone, just as oral vitamin Niacinamide makes radiation much more effective.
As powerful as curcumin (from Turmeric), EGCG (green tea extract), etc are, Dr Blaylock says very few things work as well as green vegetable drinks (blended well, or juiced). If you go to pubmed.gov, and type in ‘curucumin’, ‘EGCG’, ‘curcumin breast’, ‘broccoli’, etc etc you can see for yourself the tens of thousands of studies on these things.
But do Kale in moderation. One bunch per week is probably okay. But now that Kale drinks are the drink d’jour, people are getting poisoned with thallium (non-radioactive thallium) as kale takes up thallium from the soil. Thallium can substitute for Potassium in the body. (signs of thallium poisoning: neurological, hair loss, fatigue, irregular heart beat).
Still, kale along with the other cruciferous veggies in moderation is incredible.
