Note that this mentally deranged individual did not kill anyone with atheism. He used a gun.

Wonder why they never mentioned the musical preference of the Las Vegas lunatic?

    • Jan Woods says:

Mentally deranged people are prone to kill based on religious hatred–musical preference, not so much. Though the ways things are going, as your comment suggests, that could change any time.

It is still pertinent to know the motive of the individual who mass murders. People of all religions deserve to know if the hatred of their critics reaches a point at which it causes actual hate crimes to occur.

“Note that this mentally deranged individual did not kill anyone with atheism. He used a gun.”

His atheism informed his decision to use a gun though.

“Wonder why they never mentioned the musical preference of the Las Vegas lunatic?”

I’m going to guess that it wasn’t modern country.

My atheism has never informed or encouraged me to use a gun.
Nor did the horrific abuse endured through fundamentalist xtian upbringing.
        Go figure.
It is interesting to note however that when i protest/picket gun rallies and nra conventions the ones who challenge my call for restricting access to killing machines claim the bible and Christ support their zealotry. One woman claimed to be quoting Jesus voicing commandment to “turn your plow shears into swords.”

To blame this on atheism or even mental illness is nothing but distraction of tRumpian proportions. The real problem is a gun-industry funded congress and a minority of Americans who are obsessed with an outdated, irrelevant amendment they hold sacred as commandment from the gods.

Or is it still too early to talk about gun control?
