One of many youtube videos pulled out of circulation – just gone…
Are you off Twitter now, Celia? I hope all is well.
I think he makes a good point about how our morals are a tool that mankind developed for the sake of making life work better. To be liberated from that tool would, as expected, bring us to where we are now: millions of angry,…angry women, and a generation of men who are for all intents and purposes MGTOW even if they don’t want to admit it.
I think it’s funny how the word ‘prudish’ or ‘prude’ has become weaponized, as if it’s the worst thing in the world to be. Yes, so true, you should never *think* about who you have sex with, or ever express disgust at someone else’s choices, no matter how depraved they may be.
A year or so ago I heard about this one 20 something female writer talking about ‘catching feelings’. It’s when you have a hook up and then accidentally have some residual feelings for the him or her you just had sex with. It’s as if to say that those feelings are like V.D.
That, to me, is yes…Satanic sounding. Don’t have feelings? Feelings are a disease?
I’m conflicted. I listen to this guy and I think, “Yeah, he’s on to something here, he makes sense.”
But after a while I start wondering if he isn’t just propounding all this to justify his own prudery.
Yiou could argue that both puritan strictures on one’s sex life, AND sexual freedom are restrictive.
Am I the only one who reacts this way? I fucking hope not:)
